Linen Care guide

1. Washing Instructions
Turn your linen garment inside out and wash on a gentle cycle with water not exceeding 40°C. Use a mild detergent with no bleach or optical brighteners. For deep-colored linens, wash separately the first few times.

2. Drying Notes
Hang your linen piece to dry naturally. Avoid direct sun exposure which may alter color. If using a dryer, set it to low and remove the garment while slightly damp to prevent over-drying.

3. When to Iron or Steam
Wrinkles tell the story of real linen. However, if you desire a more polished appearance, iron on the reverse side at medium heat. A steamer is perfect for quick refreshes and avoiding direct heat contact.

4. Extend Lifespan with Dry Cleaning
Though linen softens beautifully over time, dry cleaning offers better fabric preservation for high-value items. Structured or lined pieces, in particular, benefit from occasional professional care.

5. Wear & Tear Over Time
Linen may show signs of wear in areas exposed to frequent bending or friction. This includes cuffs, knees, inner thighs, and elbow creases. These signs are natural and show the garment has been lived in.

6. Color Evolution
Linen is often dyed with natural pigments. That means a subtle shift in hue is expected and part of the garment’s story. Wash with similar colors and avoid drying in the sun to slow this process.

7. On Pilling & Friction
Lint or pilling may occur when linen rubs against rough surfaces or tight layers. Prevent this by layering linen with smoother materials and storing garments with care.

8. Natural Stain Handling
Act quickly and blot stains with a damp cloth and a bit of white vinegar or lemon juice. Avoid scrubbing, which can set the stain deeper or damage the weave.
